Post any loot system ideas here.
Master-looter and rolls is nice and all, but it's a bit boring.
Fey's DKP System idea: You can use it as a bit of a base as to what i'm looking for...
Full Guid Runs:
1. After each 25 man raid a total sum of DKP will be awarded to each member of the Guild. This applies only to those of Member rank and above.
2. Each Friday (Being the servers Save ID reset day) a 20% decay will be applied to everyones DKP.
3. The DKP gains are as such: 20 DKP per hour (Duration of the raid) + 10 DKP per Boss Kill. Example: 4 hour raid + 10 bosses down > 4x20 + 10x10 > 80 + 100 = 180 DKP
4. If more then 25 people were to show up for raids and some of the Guild Members were unable to fit into the raid, they will still be awarded DKP if they stay on Stand-By. The DKP awarded to Stand-By members will be half of what the participating raiders got.
5. The DKP is only given out after the raid, not during. This means that you cannot use the DKP you've earned during the current raid but must instead use the DKP you've accumulated throughout the past 25 man runs.
6. The Bidding for items works in the following manner: A item will be linked in Raid Chat by our Master Looter, if you are interested in getting this item you will whisper our Master Looter with your bid (You can only bid once - which means that the first amount you whisper to the Master Looter is in fact your final bid on the item). The person that bids the highest wins the item and the amount of bid DKP will be subtracted from his/hers DKP pool. You will have 10 seconds to bid for an item. Any bid that is whispered after these 10 seconds is a bid whispered to late and thus will not be accounted for.
7. The minimum bid is 40 DKP. Once you are above minimum bid (40) you have to raise your bidding value with at least 5. For instance; the 3 minimum bids available are 40, 45 and 50.
8. After downing a Boss, everyone besides the Master Looter and the DKP Manager will move on per the RL's orders. However, make sure to pay attention to the loot as if you do miss the chance to bid on it there will be no second chances. Ten seconds is more then enough for anyone to decide whether or not they want an item and whisper the Master Looter.
9. If two members were to bid the same amount for an item their names will be called out in Raid Chat and they will be asked to bid again. This will be repeated in all subsequent draw scenarios until one outbids the other. In the case where both have bid all they have and it is still a draw the decision of whom the item goes to will be made by rank. In the rare event that both people are the same spec/bid the same amount/are same rank - both will be asked to /roll.
10. If anyone in the Leadership Team thinks that a person shouldn't be getting a item they have won they can Veto the decision. This is what we call the Officer Veto system. If it comes to this then the Officers will discuss whether or not this is the right decision. This means that someone that shouldn't have an item cannot grab it due to simply having a higher DKP amount. Loot will always be given to the Class/Spec it is made for, as well as to the person who is the most deserving - No more fresh trials stealing your loot.
11. Every new Guild Member, [Aspirant], will be given no DKP, nor will he/she gain any DKP per raid. After joining the [Aspirant] is on a 2 week trial, during which they're given no loot (Unless no one wants it and it is to be DE'd) and can't earn any DKP, thus being unable to compete with established members. If they pass the two week trial and get promoted to [Member] they will be given 200 DKP to start out with.
12. The 10 man raids are still all /roll and award no DKP.
13. DKP Punishments and Rewards are possible. As of now, it is hard to tell how frequent these may be, or even if they will indeed be utilized, but the possibility of this remains open.
